Unified inhibits H1 receptors and thus prevents histamine from binding to its receptors, as histamine binding leads to symptoms such as (sneezing, itching, runny nose, watery eyes). It constricts the blood vessels in the nasal passage, as the expansion of the blood vessels leads to nasal congestion.
