Sevikar Hct is a medication used to treat high blood pressure. It belongs to a class of drugs known as angiotensin receptor blockers and calcium channel blockers. It works to lower blood pressure and thus reduces the risk of heart disease and strokes.
Sevikar Hct contains two active ingredients: Olmesartan Medoxomil and Amlodipine Besilate. Olmesartan works by blocking the effects of angiotensin II, leading to the dilation of blood vessels and a reduction in blood pressure. Meanwhile, Amlodipine relaxes the smooth muscles in the blood vessels, helping to improve blood flow. Together, this medication provides effective blood pressure control and reduces associated risks.
