It is used to treat angina or high blood pressure.
For high blood pressure: It works by expanding and relaxing the blood vessels accordingly, the flow of the blood becomes easier and the blood pressure decreased, low blood pressure reduces the pressure on your heart.
For angina : it relaxes and expands the arteries that feed the heart. This allows more oxygen and blood and to reach the heart and reduces pressure on it
Your angina attacks will be less frequent and less severe if there is less strain on the heart
