يُستخدم لعلاج انخفاض مستويات الكالسيوم في الدم. يعالج الحالات المختلفة في الجسم بشكل فعّال مثل: نقص ڤيتامين (د)، وهشاشة العظام، وقصور الدريقات، والتكزّز الكامن والكساح أو لين العظام. كوليكالسيفيرول هو هرمون ستيرويدي ينتج في الجلد عند التعرّض للأشعة فوق البنفسجية أو الحصول عليه من مصادر الغذاء، وهو عبارة عن بروڤيتامين يتحوّل بعد تناوله إلى ڤيتامين، يساعد في الحفاظ على مستويات الكالسيوم والفوسفور في الدم وتمعدن العظام.
كيفية الاستخدام؟
