يُستخدم إمباغليفلوزين لعلاج مرض السكري من النوع الثاني لدى المرضى البالغين (الذين تبلغ أعمارهم 18 عامًا وما فوق) الذين لا يمكن السيطرة على حالتهم عن طريق النظام الغذائي وممارسة الرياضة فقط. يمكن استخدام إمباغليفلوزين بدون أدوية أخرى للمرضى الذين لا يستطيعون تناول الميتفورمين (دواء آخر لمرض السكري). كما يمكن استخدام إمباغليفلوزين مع أدوية أخرى لعلاج مرض السكري، قد تُستخدم هذه الأدوية عن طريق الفم أو عن طريق الحقن مثل الإنسولين. من المهم أن تستمر في نظامك الغذائي وخطة التمارين الرياضية كما أخبر طبيبك أو الصيدلي أو الممرضة.
