Patients with braces or endosteal dental implants, although they have an excellent mechanical protection for their hygiene, have a high risk for gum disease. To prevent the effect of this disease, this mouthwash, based on Cetylpiridinium Chloride, with antibacterial properties, has been studied to reduce plaque formation and the consequent risk of gingivitis. Without alcohol and without Chlorhexidine, it could be used also for a long period. The absence of Sodium Fluoride and a neutral pH, contribute not to corrode titanium, the material used for the realization of endosteal dental implants. Papain in formula, is an enzyme which dissolves proteins and plays a curative effect on teeth and gums. Thanks to the extracts of Mallow and Chamomile, it also plays a soothing function on mucous membranes which are often damaged due to use of braces, denture or recently grafted implants.
